Marc Nolte is an independent consultant with 30 years of experience in data projects.
He has delivered custom solutions in the relational-OLTP, data lake, data warehouse and Dynamics 365 space.
Working in both the vendor and client sides of the transaction have given Marc a unique perspective on IT.
Marc has worked for both hardware and software vendors, as well as a few boutique solution development shops.
As team lead of a Data Management department for a super-major oil company, he focused on development of the team skillsets and enhanced data delivery protocol.
Marc has completed dozens of projects as a data modeler and architect, drawing on his experience as a developer, capable in several 3rd generation languages and a few 4th generation toolsets.
Today, Marc is the integration and reporting lead for a large-scale (40 site) Dynamics 365 implementation.
Marc founded the DAMA Calgary chapter in 2015, to help fill the knowledge and peer support gap in the local southern Alberta community.
He has presented several chapters of the DMBoK to local study groups. Marc currently holds the position of President of the Calgary DAMA Chapter.
