Andrew Andrews is a highly accomplished and passionate data executive with over three decades of experience in data management, governance, and consulting roles across government, non-profit, and private sectors. Currently serving as Vice President Global Marketing for DAMA International, he oversees a comprehensive global communications strategy spanning 60 chapters and 25+ forming chapters. Andrew has been instrumental in promoting the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK) and the Certified Data Management Practitioner (CDMP) certification worldwide.

A seasoned professional, Andrew’s career includes pivotal roles such as Regional Advocate for the Enterprise Data Management Council (A&NZ), Data Governance Executive at ANZ Banking Group and ACCC, and Senior Consultant at Experience Matters Pty. Ltd. His extensive global network and leadership in strategic data initiatives have established him as a key figure in the data community.

Andrew has a distinguished record of volunteer leadership, including serving as President and Vice President of DAMA Australia, Vice President of DAMA International (US), and Vice President Marketing for DAMA Egypt. His leadership in DAMA Australia earned the Presidents Council Chapter Innovation Award in 2023. He also actively mentors startups through DAMA Egypt, Cairo, and Women in Data programs, as well as university incubators at the University of Adelaide and Flinders University.

Recognized as a thought leader, Andrew has delivered keynote addresses, facilitated panels, and presented at global conferences such as MIT CDOIQ and DATAVERSITY. He is also a published author and podcaster, contributing to globally relevant discussions on data governance, ethics, quality, and valuation.
